Abstract

This e-book provides a foundation for life support equipment with the knowledge and skills related to biomedical equipment such as ventilators, anaesthesia machines, and dialysis units. We will be exposing possible barriers for a wider application of this equipment. The initial part of the e-book is dedicated to basic principles of life support equipment in hospitals, assuming that understanding how a device works is one of the pre-requisites to improving the quality of its application and, ultimately, the outcomes. In-depth reviews help the technical solutions designed to solve the problems of the different potential complications. We welcome your comments, suggestions, and criticism.
